Kristina L. Malcolm, the owner of fluxmetalworks, is a metals artist and metalsmith based in Canton, Ohio.  Kristina is an accomplished metalsmith, who has developed her own style combining copper, brass, and silver in many of her works.

Kristina uses nature motifs in both her designs and materials.  Some of her animal designs evoke the imagery from Native American culture with the images of wolves, and birds of prey.  However, Kristina L. Malcolm also designs other metal pieces with a spiritual like her Tree of Life design, and her depiction of owls, and other birds.

Here is what Kristina has to say about fluxmetalworks:

“In 2003, I developed fluxusmetalworks. This business evolved from my passions of exploring new techniques in the fields of 3-D design and traditional metalworking. My art and jewelry explore the beauty of nature; integrating the organic qualities in classic Art Nouveau, Gothic and Native styles. Avoiding the use of any synthetic material in my designs, I use naturally occurring stones – specifically treasuring stones that form naturally in the United States. In setting these stones, it is of utmost importance that they stay in their setting due to the structural integrity of the piece; I use no glues or adhesives. It is also very significant that my work is easily accessible to touch; under glass, kinetic components and small details are not easily detectable to the eye.”
